Cheaper Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh now available (2025)

The Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh is rolling out across Europe. The accessory was first spotted on the brand’s global site in November 2024. It arrived in the UK in February and has recently been released in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany.

Also known as the Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000, the device can be used to wirelessly charge the iPhone 12 or later at up to 7.5W. The phone is attached using a 10N magnetic force. Plus, a second device can be charged via the USB-C port with an up to 18W output. When two devices are charged simultaneously, they share 10W power.

The USB-C port can also be used to recharge the power bank at 20W, fully charging in around 2.2 hours. As its name suggests, the portable power bank has a 5,000mAh capacity, which is said to provide a full recharge for an iPhone 15. Other features include support for pass-through charging, meaning it can act as a wireless charging pad, and an NTC temperature control system to protect against overheating. There are also safety features to protect against short circuits, overcurrent and overvoltage.

The accessory is marketed as suitable for air travel, and this is a slim model at 12 mm (~0.5 inches) thick; it measures 103.7 x 68.3 m (~4.1 x 2.7 inches), though it is unclear how much it weighs. You can now buy the Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh in various European countries for £19.99/€29.99.
