Can I use Zelle with MidFlorida Credit Union? ›

Peer-to-peer payment apps such as Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, and PayPal are making it easier than ever to pay friends and family. Download the cash transfer app* you choose, and connect your MIDFLORIDA account or debit card to the app.

How long does it take to transfer funds? Transfers may take two to five days to process.

How Does Zelle Work? Zelle uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments system to speed payments between U.S. bank accounts. While you could initiate an ACH payment to a friend from your bank account, that transfer could take three days to process. With Zelle, your money arrives in minutes.

Possible Reasons for Zelle Not Working via your Bank

Zelle is partnered with a wide range of banks and credit unions, but not all financial institutions have integrated the service into their systems. If your bank does not support Zelle, you will not be able to use the platform to send or receive money.

There are no receiving limits. Some credit unions and banks may set limits on the amounts that can be received, others may not set limits. If your bank or credit union does not yet offer Zelle®, your weekly send limit is $500, and your weekly receive limit is $5,000 in the Zelle® app.

They claim a problem with a Zelle transaction – Florida Credit Union does not currently offer Zelle to members. These messages are directing text recipients to a variety of bit.ly addresses which then lead to one particular fraudulent site. 2.

Funds may be delayed if the recipient isn't enrolled with Zelle®. The recipient can enroll before or after you've sent the funds. After enrollment, it can take up to three business days before funds are deposited.

Cons. Limited functionality: Zelle only allows person-to-person transfers between U.S. bank accounts. If you want to add a credit card to make payments or send money to someone internationally, you'll need to use another payment app.
